We have a duty of care to all of our festival-goers, staff, artists, traders, and contractors. Here we aim to cover all the information you might need to have a safe and enjoyable festival experience at Coast Festival 2023.

By now, you will have received confirmation of your Coast Festival pass from our official ticket outlet, WeGotTickets. Your confirmation includes a barcode for each ticket, which you will need to gain access to the site. This barcode will be scanned by our staff at the main entrance, and you will be issued with the appropriate wristband.

You must wear your wristband at all times onsite.

Failure to show an intact wristband on request by stewards/security staff may result in you being asked to leave the event without refund.

In the event of a damaged wristband, please report to the main entrance for assistance.

Management reserve the right to refuse admission to the event.


Friday is strictly 18+

Saturday and Sunday 14+, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder and supervised at all times.

You may be asked for identification when entering the event site.


The festival opening hours are:

Friday 18:00-22:30

Saturday 12:00-22:00

Sunday 12:00-22:00

Entry will not be permitted before the stated opening times.

Last entry on all days is 20:00.

On Friday evening, there will be no pass outs from the festival site. This means that if you exit the festival site, you will not be permitted re-entry unless prior arrangement has been agreed.

On Saturday and Sunday, there will be no pass outs from the festival site from 16:00.


Unfortunately, there is no parking onsite and very little in the surrounding areas. We encourage festival-goers to arrive on foot, via public transport, or to be dropped off at our designated drop-off/pick-up point located outside the main gates on Preston Avenue.

An onsite taxi rank will be available, provided by Radar Taxis.

There are many public transport links within walking distance of the site, including:

- The 306 bus route, which stops approximately a 5-minute walk away

- Metro - North Shields and Tynemouth Metro Station are approximately a 17-minute walk away

When entering and exiting the festival site and surrounding area, please be mindful of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. Bins will be available at the main entrance/exit, so please use these to dispose of any unwanted items and avoid littering the area.

In the unlikely event of an emergency site evacuation, our Health and Safety Officer will conduct a full and thorough egress of the event site in the safest way possible. Please adhere to the instructions given and follow signage for emergency exits.


No animals will be permitted access to the event site, with the exception of guide dogs and registered support dogs.

A zero tolerance policy is in place for all illegal substances. Anyone suspected of using/carrying such substances may be ejected from the event site without refund.

No alcohol is to be brought onto the event site. Security screening will take place at the main entrance, and any alcohol will be confiscated and disposed of.

No food is to be brought into the site, unless required for medical reasons.

Crowd surfing, mosh pits, or any behavior deemed to be unsafe/anti-social may result in the offenders being ejected from the event site without refund.

Management does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal belongings while attending Coast Festival. Any found items will be held by management for 7 days.

If you require medical treatment while attending Coast Festival, Management and/or our first aid providers (on behalf of Management) may keep a record of your personal details, any accident suffered, and treatment provided to you.


You and/or your possessions may be searched before entry to the event for the safety of all festival-goers. Management reserves the right to confiscate any items deemed unsuitable or illegal.

Items that are strictly prohibited include:

- Any illegal substances

- Any ‘legal high’ substances

- Flares, fireworks, sparklers, sky lanterns, or any flame, smoke, or gas devices

- Any portable laser equipment

- Air horns

- Aerosol cans

- Any items that could be considered a weapon

- Umbrellas

- Alcohol

- Food

- Glass


A variety of food vendors will be trading at the event. Please inform your chosen food vendor of any allergies or intolerance before making a purchase.

There will be a well-stocked bar at the event, accepting both cash and card payments.

A challenge 25 policy will be strictly followed, so please bring proof of age if intending to buy alcohol.

Anybody suspected of buying alcohol for anybody under the age of 18 may be ejected from the event.

There will be no glass onsite. The bars will serve all drinks in plastic cups.

Unopened soft drinks and water are permitted into the event provided they are not in glass containers.


Although there will be seating available around the site, you are welcome to bring your own camping/deck chairs. Chairs cannot be used in the marquee area.

Make yourself comfortable, but please make sure to take any chairs offsite with you at the end of the day.


Wheelchair access will be made via the main car park at Percy Park RFC, which runs alongside our main entrance. There will be a designated viewing platform for wheelchair users and an accessible toilet close by.

Should you require a chaperone to guide you to the platform, please see one of our helpful stewards on arrival.
